| But why give up on the Z now after all you've been through? You could sell it now and (as I'm sure you know) not get as much as you'd like for it and end up with another newer car that doesn't have you worrying about and working on it nearly as much. Or you can stick with it, put some more money and sweat into it (two ever-present companions to Z's) and realize that you didn't give up on it. Yeah, Z's let us down from time to time, but I don't care how much money you put into fixing it or how dirty and tired you get from working on it; when you're in that driver's seat and the Z is running perfectly...I don't think there's any better feeling.
"I played golf....I did not get a hole in one, but I did hit a guy and that's way more satisfying. You're supposed to yell "FORE!", but I was too busy mumbling "There ain't no way that's gonna hit him." -Mitch Hedberg "Punctuality is a virtue of the bored." -Evelyn Waugh "I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book." -Groucho Marx "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on." -Robert Frost "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us." -Deep Waters |
